For Fall/Winter 2014 Omsk takes you to the mysterious forests of Siberia, where Nature has the upper hand. A raw land, a perfect nest for OMSK’s love of fairy tales.
In this collection Popular Russian mythology mixes with the feeling of overwhelming Nature. The deep navy of the winter night sky, the burgundy and the golden brown of the autumn leaves and the silver shade of the forest current play together and create an earthy yet mystical feel.
Every season, the label pays tribute to a russian cultural icon, the OMSK ICON. This season we decided to highlight a painting, Ivan Tsarevich Riding The Gray Wolf painted in 1918 by Viktor Vasnetsov. The painting is an illustration of the famous Russian folk-tale The Fire Bird and the Gray Wolf which relates the adventures of the prince Ivan Tsarevich and his companion the Grey Wolf, a magician. It perfectly embodies the spirit of the collection, where animals are the main characters.
